About

How Does Active Science Work?

1. STEM Experiences

Children interact with a variety of technologies such as activity monitors, tablet devices and a mobile app to make learning accessible, relevant, and fun. At Active Science, we want children to become excited about science, to understand that science is a fundamental part of the everyday world around us, and to get hooked on learning through by hands-on experiences.

2. Education Achievement

The integration of physical activity, games and learning creates a novel strategy to help close the academic achievement gap, reduce summer learning loss, and address key educational priorities.

3. Fun Competitions & Games

Children, families and YMCA’s track progress, unlock games monitor results, and earn rewards for prizes.
